Country Assistance Strategy 2010-2014

USAID/Jamaica has completed its new Country Assistance Strategy: 2010-2014. The new five-year strategy will focus on:

• increasing peace and security by reducing crime and corruption;
• promoting economic prosperity and sustainable development – including economic policy reform and support to the agriculture sector;
• investing in people – including support to primary education; and
• HIV/AIDS prevention

USAID is committed to delivering service of the highest quality, with maximum impact and effectiveness, to ensure that the Jamaican people achieve their full potential and enjoy an improved quality of life. USAID/Jamaica intends to support the Government, and its development partners, in advancing and achieving Jamaica’s development priorities.
